Lillian Gish

Lillian Gish (Springfield, Ohio, EUA,14 de Outubro de 1893_ Nova Iorque,Nova Iorque, EUA, 27 de Fevereiro de 1993) nome artístico de Lillian Diana de Gish, foi uma actriz norte-americana de cinema e teatro, além de directora e escritora, cuja carreira de actriz de cinema durou 75 anos, a partir de 1912 no Cinema Mudo atingindo a era sonora, até 1987. Lillian Gish chamada "A Primeira Dama do Cinema Americano", e a ela é creditada como das pioneiras da técnica do que hoje denominado “Close-up".

Lillian Gish era uma proeminente estrela de cinema nas décadas de 1910 e 1920, particularmente associada com os filmes do director D. W.
